Agentic Commerce Optimization (ACO)

Get your catalog ready for the AI agents that shop for your customers.Product feeds configured and ingested, and your catalog ready for Google's Universal Commerce Protocol.

A shopper asks ChatGPT or Gemini which product to buy, and the agent decides which store gets the sale. In our October 2026 research, ChatGPT linked a brand's own store about a third of the time when it had read the brand's product page, and fewer than 1 time in 10 when it hadn't. WISLR gets your catalog in front of those agents in a form they can read and buy from.

AI agents choose the store as well as the product

On October 10, 2026, ChatGPT started placing a buy button under the products it recommends in shopping answers. The button names one store, and in the answers we track it usually isn't the brand's.

56%

of ChatGPT's buy buttons pointed to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Amazon or another big-box retailer. About 5% pointed to the brand's own store.

34%

of the buttons on a brand's own products went to its store when ChatGPT had read the brand's product page, against 6% when it hadn't.

How we get a brand ready, in four steps

  1. 01

    Assess the catalog

We check your catalog against each specification an agent reads: the ChatGPT and Google product feeds, Google's UCP and your platform's catalog API. Every gap is listed by what it costs you.

  2. 02

    Configure the feeds

We build or repair the product feeds, map the fields each agent expects, and confirm the feeds are ingested without errors.

  3. 03

    Prepare for agent checkout

We prepare the catalog for Google's Universal Commerce Protocol, so an agent can carry a purchase from your store through to checkout.

  4. 04

    Measure what the agents do

WISLR.ai shows which AI crawlers read your catalog, which pages assistants cite, and the orders their visitors place.

What a brand gets at the end of the work

A feed readiness report

Your catalog scored against each agent's specification, with every missing field and rejected product listed and the fixes ranked by revenue at stake.

Feeds that are live and ingested

Product feeds configured for ChatGPT and Google, submitted, and checked until the platforms accept them.

Product data an agent can use

Descriptions, attributes and the fields your platform infers on its own reviewed, so the agent compares your products on accurate data.

A catalog ready for UCP

The catalog prepared for Google's Universal Commerce Protocol, with price, stock and checkout details where an agent expects to find them.

Teams in the middle of a replatform

Feeds and UCP readiness built into the new platform before launch, so the move doesn't reset your agent visibility.

Questions brands ask about agentic commerce

What is Agentic Commerce Optimization?

Agentic Commerce Optimization (ACO) is the work of getting an ecommerce catalog ready for AI agents that shop on a buyer's behalf, such as ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. It covers product feeds the agents ingest, structured product data they can read, and readiness for checkout protocols like Google's Universal Commerce Protocol, so an agent can buy your products from your own store.

What is Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP)?

The Universal Commerce Protocol is an open standard Google introduced in January 2026 that lets AI agents complete purchases with a merchant. A store advertises what it supports, such as its catalog and checkout, and an agent uses that to carry a purchase through. Google uses it for buying inside AI Mode and the Gemini app.

How is UCP different from OpenAI's Agentic Commerce Protocol?

OpenAI and Stripe released the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) in September 2025 for checkout inside ChatGPT. UCP is Google's standard for its own surfaces. A brand selling through both assistants needs a catalog prepared for each, and WISLR assesses the catalog against both.

Why does my product page matter if the agent uses a feed?

In our October 2026 research, ChatGPT sent the buy button on a brand's own product to the brand's store about a third of the time when it had read the brand's product page while answering, and fewer than 1 time in 10 when it hadn't. A product page an agent can read, with price, availability and Offer structured data in the HTML, gives it a reason to link your store.
